Scott Collier oversees the St. Louis Division Diversion Control Program for the United States Drug Enforcement Administration. Assigned to the St. Louis Division in 2006, DPM Collier is responsible for the oversight and coordination of major investigations; regulating and maintaining liaison with the pharmaceutical industry; as well as maintaining liaison with state regulatory boards, federal agencies, and with state and local law enforcement organizations.
DPM Collier oversees three Diversion Groups as well as the Tactical Diversion Squads throughout the states of Missouri, Illinois and Kansas.
Prior to his arrival in St. Louis, Mr. Collier served over five years at DEA headquarters on the Administrator’s Policy & Advisory Staff. In addition, Mr. Collier served as Chief of the Dangerous Drugs & Chemicals Section from 2002-2005 where he ran DEA’s clandestine lab program and represented DEA in international conferences sponsored by foreign law enforcement and regulatory agencies and with international organizations such as the United Nations International Narcotics Control Board (INCB).
Mr. Collier joined DEA in 1986 and was first assigned to the Hartford Regional Office of the New England Division (1986-1991), followed by the Denver Division Office (1991- 2000) and DEA Headquarters (2000-2005).
Mr. Collier lectures on drug abuse and law enforcement efforts to curtail drug trafficking across the country. He has also accepted invitations to speak at international forums hosted by individual countries and the United Nations. He earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice from Washington State University in 1985.
