About the Foundation

Missouri Veterinary Medical Foundation

"People Helping Animals, Animals Helping People"

As a public charity, that supports the charitable and educational purposes and activities of the Missouri Veterinary Medical Association (MVMA), the Missouri Veterinary Medical Foundation focuses on public education and animal welfare issues to further the health of animals in Missouri.

The Foundation board is comprised of members who work closely with the leadership of the MVMA on activities and issues of mutual concern.

The Foundation plans and implements many new outreach programs including public education events and activities dedicated to the relationship between people and animals.

As part of its overall public education efforts, the Foundation will continue to develop and enhance the veterinary museum as a tool to teach the general public about the profession and about the history of animal health care.

In addition, the Foundation has expanded it’s presence to the internet with an interactive web-site, and pet memorial program.
